Sheldon was less…Sheldon in the first episode. He actually sat somewhere other than his spot. He resisted, but still, Leonard told him to sit somewhere else and he did. He also let Penny use the shower in their apartment (again, with resistance but not much). He even apologized to Leonard when he backed out of their high IQ sperm donation plan.
